About Our Agency
Our founder, Ronald W. Steele was the first Erie Agent on the Eastern side of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and established the Steele Insurance Agency in September of 1975. Our agency is coming up on the celebration of our 50th year as a full service insurance agency. Mr. Steele built the agency based on one main principle: “if I have helped one person each day, I will have done my job.” While Mr. Steele is no longer with us, his principle is what his wife has carried since 2015 after his passing. Today, we are stronger than ever and remain steadfast in our responsibility to our customers to provide excellent customer service and vast amounts of insurance education in order to get our clients the best rates that individually meet our customers needs.
2025 is a big year for our agency as we have a lot of new and exciting
adventures planned for the year! Not only are we celebrating our 50th year
anniversary, we will be ushering Mr. Steele’s daughter, Rhonda Steele, in as
the Principal Agent.
Rhonda has a lifetime of insurance knowledge as this is the environment she grew up in and has been
thriving in since June of 2016. Ms. Steele is dedicated to following in her fathers footsteps and protecting
the legacy of the agency in order to hand it over to her own children in the future. With that being said,
our agency will be saying “Happy Retirement” to Alice Steele, Ronald’s wife. Our team is looking forward
to making this our best year yet!
