Rhonda Steele is our fearless leader. Rhonda is the daughter of our founder, Ronald Steele. Rhonda has been immersed in the insurance world since birth and knows all of the in’s and out’s of this agency. Rhonda takes care of agency operations, agency email, renewals, re-underwriting and overall makes sure we are on track!
Rhonda is often told “it sounds just like Ronald is back in the office” when talking on the phone with customers!
Rhonda has her BA in Communications from Christopher Newport University with a minor in English. She worked for Channel 13 in Norfolk VA while obtaining a teaching degree from Old Dominion University. She then taught middle school for 15 years.
While sad to give up her teaching position, she knew it was time to step into the family business and continue the legacy of her late father, Ronald Steele. Rhonda has 3 boys; Aidan, Gabe and Zak. They were the apple of their grandfather’s eye and the reason the Steele Agency continues. When Rhonda isn’t in the office, she loves taking trips, making memories with her family and friends, going to concerts and thrift store hunting!
Betsey Johnson is our Special Agent and backbone! She has been with us for 38 years and knows everything there is to know about the agency, insurance and customer service.
Betsey was awarded customer service agent of the year for Erie’s Roanoke Branch in 2024 for her outstanding service to our customers.
Betsey’s talents are, well, everything she touches! She is a licensed P&C agent, office manager and everyone’s “go-to” person. Our agency would not be where it is today without her and that is stated without a shadow of doubt. Betsey is a life long member of our community and knows just about everyone because she has taken the time to get to know everyone in order to make that personal connection. Betsey is married to Charlie Johnson and they have one son whose wife is expecting their first child this summer, 2025.
Jennifer Sicher is a Baton Rouge native and moved to Hanover, Virginia in 2009. Jennifer and her husband Joel are proud parents to two wonderfully intelligent children, Elona and Ethen.
Jennifer came to our agency from a long background in corporate account management. Jennifer’s talents are in account rounding in which she specializes in getting the customer more for their money! Jennifer is also the head of our technology; when it comes to programs, spreadsheets, and how to fix a technical problem she is your girl! In our office, Jennifer is the administrative assistant to our Principal Agent. Jennifer’s overall knowledge is not only valuable to our team, but our customers as well.
Outside of her professional interests, she enjoys watching her son play baseball, and shopping at the mall with her daughter. Jennifer is also an avid coffee drinker, has a sweet tooth for caramel, loves sunflowers and stuffed animal avocados.
